Three products with pediatric dosages covering ages from 6 months to teenage years, in three different forms: sachet, lozenge, and capsule, the contents of which can be poured out. For children, the form often matters more than the composition.
Why a pediatric formula is not just a smaller adult dose
A child's intestinal microflora forms during their first years and differs in composition from that of an adult. Bifidobacteria dominate in breastfed infants, while in adults, the picture is significantly more diverse. Therefore, pediatric formulas are created anew rather than obtained by splitting the adult dose.
The second difference is the form. A one-year-old child cannot swallow a capsule. A sachet that is dissolved in water or juice and given during a meal is the solution to exactly this problem. After age three, a lozenge becomes an alternative.
The third difference is the storage technology. Lactoflor Kids is produced using Cold-Chain technology, which maintains the activity of the strains until the moment of consumption.

Lactoflor Kids, from 6 months
A probiotic complex in 10 sachets, developed specifically for infants and children. Contains 8 strains and 5 billion live bacteria per sachet: five types of lactic acid bacteria (L. rhamnosus, L. paracasei, L. reuteri, L. bulgaricus, Str. thermophilus) and three bifidobacteria (B. bifidum, B. lactis, B. longum). The strains are isolated from ecologically clean sources in the Bulgarian wilderness. See Lactoflor Kids.
Lactoflor BioPlus lozenges, from 3 years
20 tablets to be sucked after a meal. They contain the Bulgarian strain Lactobacillus bulgaricus LKZ-200, isolated from bloody cranesbill. They are suitable for children who can already keep a tablet in their mouth without chewing it immediately. See BioPlus tablets.
Lactoflor Enteric Ecol, regimen and under 6 years
A specialized probiotic complex with five strains and Saccharomyces boulardii, in 12 capsules. For children under 6, the contents of the capsule can be poured into a little water or juice. See Enteric Ecol.

Frequently asked questions from parents
At what age can a probiotic be given to a baby
Lactoflor Kids has an indicated regimen from 6 months onwards. For babies under this age and for premature infants, intake should be discussed with a pediatrician. Food supplements do not replace breast milk or infant formula.
How is a sachet given to a small child
The contents are dissolved in water or juice and taken during a meal. Avoid hot liquids: high temperatures reduce the viability of the bacteria. Mixing with a taste familiar to the child increases the chance of regular intake.
How long should a child be given a probiotic
The pack of 10 sachets covers 5 to 10 days, depending on the age and number of doses per day. For a longer period, consult a pediatrician, especially if the child is undergoing therapy.
Do they contain sugar and colorants
On each product page, badges for sugar-free, gluten-free, GMO-free, aspartame-free, and colorant-free are noted where applicable. The full composition is in the Composition section on the respective page.
What is Cold-Chain technology
A controlled temperature chain from production to consumption. Live cultures are sensitive to heat and moisture, so the storage method is part of the product's quality, not just a logistical detail.
Can a child take an adult product
Only if the product has a pediatric regimen indicated on the label. In the portfolio, these include BioPlus capsules and tablets, Enteric Ecol, Opti6, Fibers, and both Urobiotic products. Splitting an adult dose by eye is not proper dosing.
